Last updated: June 20, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Renato Rivera (“I”, “me”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit this website or use my services. I am committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Who is responsible

The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Renato Rivera, based in Montréal, Québec. For any question about this policy or your information, contact me at rene@renato-rivera.com or through the contact page.

What I collect

I collect only what you choose to share or what is needed to provide my services: your name, email, preferred language, and the content of any message you send through the contact form; your first name and email if you sign up for new-release notifications; and details you provide when booking a session. I may also collect limited technical information — such as device, approximate location, and pages visited — through cookies and analytics.

Why I collect it

To reply to your messages; to schedule and deliver 1:1 sessions; to send the resources or notifications you request; to operate, secure, and improve the website; and to meet my legal obligations. I never sell your personal information.

Consent

By providing your information and using this website, you consent to the collection and use described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights”). Where the law requires it, I will ask for your express consent before collecting sensitive information.

Service providers

I share personal information only with trusted providers who help me run the site and my practice, and only as needed: hosting and analytics (Framer), session scheduling (Calendly), email delivery (e.g. ConvertKit), and embedded content (YouTube, Spotify). They process information on my behalf under their own privacy terms. I do not otherwise disclose your information without your consent, unless required by law.

Storage outside Québec

Some of these providers store or process information on servers located outside Québec, including in the United States. Where information is transferred outside Québec, I take reasonable steps to ensure it receives adequate protection.

Cookies

This site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and manage cookies in your browser settings.

How long I keep it

I keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Security

I use reasonable physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Your rights

Under Law 25 you may access the information I hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, and request its deletion or de-indexing, subject to legal limits. To exercise these rights, contact me at rene@renato-rivera.com.

Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact me first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

I may update this policy from time to time. The date below reflects the most recent version.
